Exciting development! Because some of you began asking for the Roth 403b/457b, this item has caught the attention of our Retirement Investment Advisory Committee. We are in full support of implementing this wonderful benefit, but payroll tells us they don’t have the resources or the personnel to implement it. Now you need to show the district you want the Roth. Call your Board of Education representative to provide the resources needed to get the Roth IRA available.

Thanks to Larry and Michael for attending last week’s meeting. LAUSD says it cannot offer the Roth until the middle of next year! And even then there is no commitment because they don’t have the resources to implement it. The committee will keep the discussion going but LAUSD is not convinced that there is a demand for it yet.
